1. Customer is responsible for providing correct destination address to Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew. Neither does Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew have any means, nor does it have the responsibility for verifying correctness of the destination address. In the event, the shipping company imposes additional fees to correct an incorrect destination address, customer authorizes Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew to pay such fees and agrees to reimburse Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew for such fees.

2. Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew is not responsible for delays due to extra time needed to verify receipt of funds or proper authorization of the credit card.

3. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the recipient of the merchandise pays brokerage fees, customs duties, taxes, if any, imposed by the shipping company or authorities in the destination country. Under no circumstances, will Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew pay the customs duty or any other taxes.

4. Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew is not responsible for transit delays caused by (a) US authorities, (b) the shipping company, (c) customs or other authorities in the destination country.

5. Once Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew hands over the merchandise to the shipping company for delivery in the destination country, Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew will no longer have further responsibility for the delivery of the merchandise.

6. If the merchandise is discarded by the shipping company or impounded by authorities in the destination country, due to any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, the following:
a) recipient refuses to accept delivery of the merchandise,
b) recipient refuses to pay duties and taxes levied by authorities in the destination country,
c) shipping company is unable to deliver the merchandise due to incorrect address,
d) shipping company is unable to deliver the merchandise because recipient is not available at the destination address,

the merchandise may simply be "discarded or lost" in the destination country. In the event of such loss, Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew will neither refund shipping fees, nor the purchase price to the customer.

7. In the event the shipping company is unable to deliver the merchandise to the recipient and it is possible to request return of the merchandise, Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew will notify the customer of such a possibility. However, Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew will initiate a request for return if and only if customer agrees to pay Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew: (1) additional shipping fees required by the shipping company to return the merchandise to Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew, (2) customs duties or taxes, if any, required by authorities in the destination country, (3) additional shipping fees required to ship the goods to the customer in the United States.

8. In the event, merchandise is lost or damaged in transit, Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew will file an insurance claim. Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew will refund the reimbursement from the insurance claim to the customer if and when such claim has been settled. Typically, insurers and shipping companies do not refund shipping fee and customs duty, etc., in the event of damage or loss of merchandise. Neither will Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew.

9. Customer acknowledges that Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew has no control over quality of service provided by the shipping carrier or customs duties and taxes imposed by authorities in the destination country. Therefore, customer agrees not to provide negative feedback on Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew due to problems or poor service caused by the shipping company or by duties and taxes imposed by authorities in the destination country.

10. Customer agrees not to initiate a credit card (or debit card) charge back for this order.

11. Merchandise requiring engraving or imprinting can not be returned or exchanged. In the event merchandise received by the customer is defective, customer is responsible for shipping fees incurred in returning the merchandise to Laguiole-Knife-corkscrew. Customer is also responsible for paying customs duties and taxes, if any, that might be imposed on replacements of defective merchandise.

12. Orders requiring engraving or imprinting (1) are charged when processed, (2) may require three to four weeks time to ship.
